We had 354 different people come to the 3 services, 297 in main worship. This caused Gerald to hike to Huntington and bike back to Warren.
7:00 AM : Gerald gets the bike
into the trunk, and prepares his shoes for the hike.

7:10 AM : Prayer with a few
members.

7:15 AM : The hike begins,
Precious by his side.

7:19 AM : Precious and Gerald
pause for a short break.

7:50 AM : Gerald makes a house
call along the way.

8:09 AM : Gerald approaches the
gas station near the Huggy Bear. After just two and a half miles, an ambulance
was ready incase Gerald needed it...
8:10 AM : Gerald receives a
little extra encouragement plus a little extra nourishment.

8:37 AM : Gerald's daughter
Rachel stops near 124 to pick up Ruth and
Precious.

11:27 AM : Just outside of
Huntington, Gerald shows off some of the spoils of his hike so far.

11:30 AM : Gerald makes it to
the stop light just on the edge of Huntington.

11:40 AM : Gerald suddenly
feels very welcomed in Huntington.

12:00 PM : Gerald makes it to
the courthouse, the halfway point of his hike and bike journey.

12:06 PM : Gerald rests his
weary feet near the Dan Quayle sign.

12:40 PM : Ruth and Gerald
finish up their picnic lunch together.

12:52 PM : Gerald gets the bike
out and ready.

12:57 PM : Gerald persuades
Todd Winkler, our new full time youth minister, to ride along back to Warren.

2:39 PM : Here is Gerald and
Todd coming toward the Salamonie School on County Road
900 S.

2:41 PM : Gerald and Todd ride
past the Salamonie School on State Road 5.

2:45 PM : Gerald and Todd ride
past Don Ping's house near the very end of their ride.

2:46 : PM Gerald and Todd
finally reach their final destination and are greeted by Janice Jordan and
Dorothy Ping.

2:50 PM : Lastly, Gerald
returns the bicycle to George DeWeese and thanks him for the test drive.

The hike was 14.5 miles and the bike ride was 17.5 miles since it was a slightly different route.
