The History of Casa de Niños

    Pat Devore began the work in March 1972, and purchased the current property in 1977, with a major remodeling of the home in 1987. With the new three story building the home was able to care for more children and open it's doors to many more community and church activities with it's large open patios. Pat retired in 1991 and David and Sheri DeBolt became the home's second full time directors September 25, 1991.

Now a new chapter is beginning for Casa de Niños as Dave and Sheri are branching out to other areas of ministry in Mexico, new full time house parents, Reu and Mary Solis, are taking over the children's home. Reu and Mary moved to Casa de Niños with their two children on December 21st, 2007. Dave and Sheri moved to a home at the Bible College in San Louis Potosi, 10 minutes away from Casa de Niños, but they will still be actively involved with the children's home and will be a team with Reu and Mary.

Over the years we have built up our ministry to include:

• Psychological and medical program
• Nutritional program
• Social service program
• Most importantly we have a complete and successful spiritual program where the children learn about Jesus in a very personal matter. Everyone learns to pray, read the Bible, study God's Word, and praise the Lord with our many talented guitar players in the home.

    It's easy to say thank you but without your support there would be no safe home for children that are abused, abandoned, or neglected in Central Mexico. Your mission gifts, your mission dollars, your mission programs, and your mission prayers are life changing and spiritual changing tools that we vitally need to care for each child. We love each child for who they are and care for each one as if they were our own. God has given us all special talents. Because you give, children are being saved from abuse and neglect, but most importantly they are being saved by Jesus Christ who shows them a new way to love and to be loved.
