Remodeling the Basement

Here are a few pictures of the transformation the basement went through during the remodel.

These first three photos are not construction, they are deconstruction. The Equip group volunteered to take down the old nursery walls, as they would be in a different spot in the finished layout.

Here we can see that a lot of progress had been made, the new walls were up and the drywall was nearing completion.

By this point the construction crew was finished. The walls were painted, trim was up, doors were hung and the floor was prepared for carpet.

And finally, the carpet is put down.

Upstairs we also had the odd steps sloped down to the floors in the library area adjacent to the sanctuary. Years ago, this had never been an issue, because the area was not an entrance.
